Collection: Cedar of Lebanon Planks

These cedar planks are from an ancient tree, at least 250 years old, rumoured to have been planted as part of a Capability Brown landscaping scheme. Two huge boughs were blown down by Storm Eunice in February 2022.

They were planked using a mobile sawmill and have been stored in the wood store shown in the images. They're fully dried now and have been used for counter tops and shelving. One piece has already been used for a counter top (see image).

Air Dry Method: Wood spacers placed under each plank to allow air to circulate. The ends of the planks were painted. Stored in a garage, protected from wind, sun and rain.

Many more planks to be measured and uploaded over the next week.
